Our Story

Walaal means "brother" — and "sister"

Walaal was built for people navigating life in Australia — new systems, new steps, and new hopes. The name comes from the Somali word for kinship: the way you'd call someone close, someone who has your back. We created Walaal so no one has to face paperwork, job hunting, or settlement alone.

From finding a free English class nearby to decoding a Centrelink letter, preparing for an interview, or simply sharing a story — Walaal brings real, up-to-date help and a welcoming community together in one place, in your language.
